All current students at Oklahoma State University are eligible to compete for the annual award. The award can be attained more than once. The current amount awarded annually is $2500-$5000. There is a possibility of more than one winner.

Spears Business accounting alumna, Jennifer Cripps was recognized as one of the Forty Under Forty 2021 Emerging Leaders by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. As 2020 was the inaugural year for this award, Cripps is one of only 80 people ever to earn this honor.
