Spears School of Business faculty member Angela Baker was recently elected to the board of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).
All current students at Oklahoma State University are eligible to compete for the annual award. The award can be attained more than once. The current amount awarded annually is $2500-$5000. There is a possibility of more than one winner.
Recently, finance and accounting professionals from more than 24 tribal governments from around the country were on the Oklahoma State University campus for professional and leadership development at the Introductory Tribal Finance and Accounting Certificate Program.

Spears Business accounting alumna Jennifer Cripps was recognized as one of the Forty Under Forty 2021 Emerging Leaders by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. As 2020 was the inaugural year for this award, Cripps is one of only 80 people ever to earn this honor.
Oklahoma State University Career Services recently awarded Spears Business professor Sarah Johnson with the Career Champion Award for 2020. Johnson is the assistant department head and an instructor of professional practice in the School of Accounting.

The Accounting Collaborative for Excellence (ACE) Lab in the Spears School of Business has a new lead sponsor in ConocoPhillips, which has pledged $200,000 in support.
Spears Business will host several tribal education programs in 2020-2021, including the Intermediate Tribal Finance and Accounting Certificate program this fall and the Online Introductory Tribal Finance and Accounting Certificate program next spring.
