Dr. William S. Spears
In November 2004, Dr. William S. Spears provided the business school with what was then the largest academic gift in OSU history, and the university renamed the College of Business Administration to the William S. Spears School of Business to honor him. Dr. Spears’ gift catalyzed tremendous growth in the business school over the past two decades.
Raymond D. Thomas Award
The Raymond D. Thomas Award is presented annually to the top senior in the Spears School of Business. Named in honor of the longtime OSU business school Dean, Raymond Doty Thomas, who served from 1929-57, this award reflects high levels of achievement, including both in scholarship in the classroom and leadership outside the classroom. This year's recipient is Cameron Shropshire, an accounting graduate currently attending our MS in Accounting program.
