Undergraduates
Post-graduation data was gathered on 69% of the 1,276 students (including double majors) and 68.5% of the 1,120 students (unique) who graduated with a BSBA degree in 2023.
Ninety-one percent (91%) of the students we have information on had employment, job offers or other plans (such as graduate school) within six months of graduation.
Eleven percent (11%) of all students reporting information were continuing their education to receive an advanced degree.
Master's Programs
Post-graduation data was gathered on 81% of the 330 students who graduated with a master’s degree in 2023.
The following are the percentage of students who had employment, job offers or other plans within six months of graduation for the 81% of students we were able to connect with:
- MBA graduates – 74%
- MS in Accounting graduates – 90%
- MS in Business Analytics graduates – 93%
- MS in Management Information Systems graduates – 79%
- MS in Quantitative Financial Economics graduates – 100%
Ph.D. Programs
Post-graduation data was gathered on 88% of the 26 students who graduated with a Ph.D. in Business Administration in 2023.
Ninety-six percent (96%) had employment or job offers within six months of graduation.
Retention
85.5% of students who were classified as new freshmen in the Spears School of Business in Fall 2022 were still at OSU in Fall 2023.
Graduation
The most recent four-year graduation rate for new freshmen in the Spears School of Business is 68.6%, and the six-year graduation rate is 74%.
Certification Pass Rates
According to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), the average CPA exam scores for M.S. Accounting students in the Spears School of Business are as follows:
- FAR 78
- AUD 77
- BEC 81
- REG 78
These scores exceed the national averages for all individuals taking the exam: FAR 44, AUD 48, BEC 60, REG 60.
SAS certification pass rates for 2022 are:
- Base SAS programming certification/SAS Certified Associate* – 53% (2019 cohort), 67% (2020 cohort), 100% (cohort 2021)
- Advanced SAS programming certification* – 100% (2019 cohort), 100% (2020 cohort), 100% (cohort 2021)
- SAS Predictive Modeling* – 71% (2019 cohort), 52% (2020 cohort), 50% (cohort 2021)
