Spears alumna to address accounting ethics class

Oklahoma State University School of Accounting graduate Katie McKnight will talk to an OSU accounting class Monday, Nov. 16, at 4 p.m. as part of the business ethics speaker series, “Three Stories and Some Q&A” sponsored by the Center for Legal Studies and Business Ethics in the Spears School of Business and the OSU Student Center for the Public Trust.

 

McKnight, an assurance senior manager for the accounting firm EY in Oklahoma City, will talk to OSU students and others interested in the Zoom program “Ethical Issues in Public Accounting.” McKnight, a CPA, earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from OSU and was recently named a 2020 Outstanding Young Alumni by Spears Business. She will talk to the Accounting Ethics class of School of Accounting instructor of professional practice Rachel Cox. 

 

The “Three Stories and Some Q&A” speaker series invites successful people from industry to visit with Spears Business students and share stories about ethical dilemmas they have experienced or that are common in their industry followed by questions from students.
