Spears Business accounting alumna Jennifer Cripps was recognized as one of the Forty Under Forty 2021 Emerging Leaders by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. As 2020 was the inaugural year for this award, Cripps is one of only 80 people ever to earn this honor.
Cripps, now a CPA, PMP and CFE, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s in accounting in 2004 and a master’s in accounting in 2005. She began her career in internal audit, where she had the opportunity to travel to 25 countries before moving into corporate finance, leading to assignments in Norway and London. She is currently the director of finance and accounting for Net at Work, a technology consulting company based in New York City.
She is active in the New York State Society of CPAs, Manhattan/Bronx NextGen Committee and Toastmasters. She enjoys volunteering with the Junior League and is active in several mentoring opportunities, including the Spears School of Business Mentoring Program and the Women at Work Mentoring Program.
NYSSCPA selects 40 young professionals each year in the CPA, accounting and financial industries who show exceptional dedication to the industry and service to their communities, have held important leadership roles, live in New York state and are members of the NYSSCPA.
Recipients are nominated by a colleague or peer who describes the nominee, their accomplishments and why they are deserving of this prestigious honor. With more than 15 years of accounting experience in the energy, manufacturing and technology industries, Cripps is more than deserving of this honor. Join us in congratulating one of our many successful alumni.
