Baker selected to OSCPA board

Spears School of Business faculty member Angela Baker was recently elected to the board of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).
Baker, instructor of professional practice in the School of Accounting at Oklahoma State University, joins a new slate of board members for the 2024-25 fiscal term. She has served in the OSCPA in various leadership positions, including formerly being a director-at-large, currently serving as chair of the Accounting Careers committee and as a member of the Public Relations committee.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to give back to my profession through my involvement with the OSCPA and look forward to serving its members in this capacity,” said Baker, who will be secretary for the board.
Baker is a two-time OSU graduate, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting (2008), including being awarded an undergraduate Honors College degree. She joined the OSU School of Accounting faculty in December 2022 after a career that included serving in assurance/audit positions at HoganTaylor and Grant Thornton, and working in the oil and gas industry, most recently serving as the chief accounting officer at Empire Petroleum Corporation. She was an adjunct at Tulsa Community College, where she taught financial accounting courses.
Joining Baker on the OSCPA board is Chair Ross A. McKinney, CPA, trust officer at Bank of Oklahoma; Chair-Elect Josh L. Elder, CPA, assurance senior manager at HoganTaylor; Vice-Chair Mark O. Neumeister, CPA, tax partner at Arledge & Associates; Treasurer Jacob E. Pasby, CPA, chief financial officer at Mack Energy Co.; and Past Chair Vicky Petete, CPA, retired executive vice president/CFO at Vision Bank NA.
Rounding out the board are three Directors at Large: Ashley M. Fogle, CPA, tax partner at HoganTaylor; Ara Grigorian, CPA, assurance manager at Gillispie & Ogilbee, P.C.; and Dorothy D. Carson, CPA, senior tax manager at Hood & Associates CPAs, P.C.
