All Spears Business students are encouraged to take advantage of travel opportunities. Each year, students may earn course credit by participating in short-term international and domestic trips led by faculty.

Students have access to the Eastin Center for Career Readiness, which guides and supports our students so they are prepared to pursue professional opportunities, practice continued growth and fully develop their contribution to society.

Our faculty strive to advance management theory and scholarship through research. We have nationally and internationally recognized scholars conducting research in such areas as strategic management, motivation, corporate governance, ethical leadership, negotiations, human resource management and team dynamics.

Community outreach is another strength of the department, with many of our faculty participating in public programs and seminars. In addition, the department is home to the Center for Legal Studies & Business Ethics and the Center for Business Sustainability and Nonprofit Management.

The Department of Management awards several scholarships each year and has made a long-term commitment to providing our students with the best resources for an affordable education. Also, all Spears Business students have the opportunity to apply for aid, and the same application is used to apply for most of these endowed or yearly scholarships.

Lisa Lambert named co-editor

August 21, 2020

Oklahoma State University management professor Dr. Lisa Schurer Lambert has been named co-editor of the journal Organizational Research Methods and will share the position with a colleague. Lambert and her co-editor will be the first female scholars to lead the 22-year-old journal published on behalf of the Academy of Management.
