The future of accounting

With the support of our engaged alumni, the accounting program continues to prepare accounting students to make a difference in the world. Every year outstanding alumni are recognized as Distinguished Alumni at the Wilton T. Anderson Hall of Fame awards banquet.

The 2021 Wilton T. Anderson Hall of Fame and Awards Ceremony was held on April 29, 2021. You may view the virtual ceremony here and view the ceremony program here.

The Executive Committee of the School of Accounting Advisory Board will annually consider recognizing

  • Distinguished School of Accounting Alumni

  • Early Career Rising Star Alumni

  • Distinguished Friends of the School of Accounting

 

Nominations

  • Nominations have closed for the 2021 year. Please be on the lookout for the 2022 nominations to open at a later date.

  • The Executive Committee enthusiastically invites nominations of individuals from all career backgrounds including, but not limited to: 1) public accounting (firms of all sizes), 2) industry, 3) government, 4) education, and 5) not-for-profit.

 

Criteria - general

Distinguished School of Accounting Alumni Hall of Fame Awards

Recognize alumni who have graduated from OSU with an accounting degree (either undergraduate or graduate) at least fifteen years from the date of the award.

 

Early Career Rising Star Award

Recognizes alumni who have graduated from OSU with an accounting degree (either undergraduate or graduate) more than five years and less than fifteen years from the date of the award.

 

Distinguished Friend of the School of Accounting Hall of Fame Award

Recognizes individuals who have provided significant support/service to the School, but who are not alumni.

 

Criteria - Standards

  1. Time, talent, and treasures provided to the OSU School of Accounting

  2. Career accomplishments and achievements that reflect positively on the OSU School of Accounting

  3. Leadership in the profession

  4. Leadership in nominee’s community
