History
Six decades of tradition
The enduring legacy of Hospitality Days
In 1956, then School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration director John McAllister started the Hospitality Days tradition that continues today.
The event brought alumni back to Stillwater to share their professional experiences
with students.
Today, Hospitality Days is that and much more, including a career fair and networking
events that attract many of the top hospitality companies in the industry looking
to recruit future managers and executives.
Student led, student inspired
Showcasing student talent
From early in its history, Hospitality Days has been an event planned and implemented
by School of Hospitality and Tourism Management students. Their efforts demonstrate firsthand for visiting hospitality professionals
the project management skills necessary to succeed in their chosen career.
From inviting speakers to organizing recognition of hall of fame inductees to planning
the visits of dozens of company representatives, Hospitality Days offers students
a platform on which to shine.
