Online Undergraduate Major in Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is the process by which individuals pursue opportunities without regard to the resources they currently control. Through this process, entrepreneurs create something new, whether it’s in an existing firm or via a business startup. Once entrepreneurs identify an opportunity to create something new, they must follow a process to bring their idea to fruition.
Online students will develop entrepreneurial competencies and skills that will provide them with a competitive advantage regardless of whether they pursue a traditional career or start their own business. Like our resident students, the Riata Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides a complement to our online degree. Students will learn how to identify promising business opportunities and the entrepreneurial process through their online coursework and can then practice and fine-tune what they’ve learned through Riata Center competitions and experiential activities.
