Two degrees

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Science in Business Analytics and Data Science (MS BAnDS) within Spears School of Business offer a dual degree program. This will equip students to adjust to the global business environment with cutting edge curriculum and teaching techniques with a focus on leadership, teamwork, and innovation in combination with a STEM program to develop the next generation of analytics and data science professionals and equip them to tackle real-world challenges.

Enrollment timeline

This timeline is for full-time students only. Part-time, online students typically take 6 hours of coursework each semester and have flexible, individualized plans of study. For more detailed information please contact Emily Murphy (MBA) or Dr. Sarah Chabinak (MS BAnDS).

Important notes

  • Applicants must use the dual degree application pathway and be admitted into both programs before pursuing the dual degree. Anyone already admitted to either one of the programs cannot start pursuing the dual degree without submitting an application and receiving admission into the other program.
  • Dual degree students must work with the advisor in both programs independently to ensure they are meeting the course requirements for both degrees.
  • The dual degree utilizes core courses from both degree programs (MBA 23-24 credit hours; MS BAnDS 22-25 credit hours) and requires a total of 44 credit hours (part-time) and 49 credit hours (full-time) to complete.
