Two degrees

MBA + MS in Materials Science and Engineering

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program through the Spears School of Business and the MS in Materials Science and Engineering program within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology have partnered to create a dual degree option for engineering-bound professionals. This will equip students to adjust to the global business environment with cutting edge curriculum and teaching techniques with a focus on leadership, teamwork, and innovation in combination with a STEM program to develop the next generation of Materials Science and Engineering professionals and equip them to tackle real-world challenges.

Important notes

  • Applicants must apply to both degree programs separately and be admitted to each respectively in order to pursue the dual degree.
  • Dual degree students must work with the advisor in both programs independently to ensure they are meeting the course requirements for both degrees.
  • The double Master of Science program consists of a 45-credit hour curriculum shared between the MBA and MS MSE programs. The completion of the 45-credit hour program would result in the awarding of both degrees. The curriculum for the program is comprised of core courses within each discipline
