Johnnie Hurns
Chief Operating Officer, Interworks
Johnnie Hurns is Chief Operating Officer for InterWorks. A problem solver by nature, he has always enjoyed taking ideas and making them happen. That desire manifested itself in an early interest in business, resulting in a degree in marketing from OSU. Upon graduating, he found management consulting and started his career as an analyst at Andersen Consulting, which today is Accenture. He expanded his focus to using data and analytics to solve business problems with an eye towards marketing and strategy. As he continued to feed the need to solve problems, he developed a love of marrying strategic vision with operations and execution. Ultimately, these skills brought him home to InterWorks, a company he had known since its inception in 1996. Johnnie lives in Dallas with his wife and daughter, who are the center of his world. He also holds a love for Disney, reading, and combat sports. In his spare time, you might find him training jiujitsu, coaching kids at competitions, or reading some spy thriller or sci/fi fantasy novel. Having been on the board of the NAF Academy at Newman Smith Highschool in Carrolton, TX, Johnnie is honored to be invited to join the effort at his Alma Mater where he looks forward to carrying his experience to the Marketing Academy at Spears.
