Join us for summer in South Africa!Your journey will take you to Cape Town, South Africa’s oldest city and the country’s legislative capital.Cape Town is home to beautiful mountain ranges, stunning natural wonders, sweeping landscapes and ocean vistas. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a developing economy experiencing unique challenges by visiting and interacting with local businesses.
You will also explore the history, food and culture of South Africa and learn more about the legacy of Nelson Mandela. Watch African penguins at play on Boulders Beach and visit a local winery and complete the trip with a visit to a game reserve. All accepted students will receive the faculty and/or staff’s flight information as soon as the faculty’s flight is booked
It is suggested that you DO NOT book your flight until you receive this information so you are able to arrive with or around the same time as the faculty and staff for transportation reasons
For this program, you should fly into and out of Cape Town International Airport (CPT)
Earlier arrival or later departure:
If you choose to arrive before the program start date or leave after the program end date you will be on your own for transportation to and from the airport as well as for additional accommodation arrangement and costs

COVID related information
- The COVID Vaccination is highly encouraged when traveling with CAGLE, and may be required depending on the regulations of the destination of the program.
- All costs associated with COVID testing, quarantine requirements, or trip cancellations due to lack of having the vaccine or testing positive for COVID will fall on the student. We highly encourage all students traveling with CAGLE to purchase additional insurance that will cover these situations.
- Please note that with ongoing COVID-related circumstances in multiple countries, The CAGLE reserves the right to amend the program itinerary and details as needed.
