Spears School of Business

The MBA program was excited to finally have in-person orientation after a year and a half. We hosted the fall cohort as well as  s. The events took place from August 9th - August 12th.

 

The first day began with connecting with the other Spears School of Business graduate programs. There were guest speakers from different organizations and Career Services to help give the new students as many resources as possible. The second and third day consisted of the MBA cohort, and they heard from our program leaders. Dr. Matt Bowler even had them practice for case competitions by presenting cases and having individual groups solve the problems. The fourth day ended with a day trip to Oklahoma City’s Riversport Adventures. The cohort was able to socialize and bond with one another as they river rafted and had lunch in the city.

 

New student, Krissy Grant, described the orientation as beneficial especially the river rafting at the end. “It was great to meet students in a fun atmosphere while doing something you don’t get to do every day,” she said.
