Are you ready to showcase your analytic skills? Compete for scholarships? Network with an analytics expert in one of many industries? The 2024 Datathon competition hosted by the Data Analytics Club (DAC) offers students of any major these opportunities in a 2-day span! The event this year is sponsored by ConocoPhillips, the Center of Data Analytics (CODA), Boeing and Love’s. Mark your calendar for February 29-March 1 and then complete your registration here.
Teams in the Datathon are comprised of four students, one of which can be a master’s level student. Students can register independent of a team and will be placed in a team needing another competitor. Each team will have a coach from industry to help guide them toward a solution to solve the case study. Teams will compete in a preliminary round and the top 4 teams will advance to the finals. All presentations will be judged by industry experts. Coaches and judges donating their time include professionals from Associated Steel Group, BOK Financial, Credera, Devon Energy, Extend, Flint Hills Resources (Koch), InterWorks, ONE Gas, OneOK, Phillips 66 and Williams. Love’s is providing the data set and roaming coaches for the 2024 Datathon.
