Overview

Before diving into a full business plan, consider showcasing it at the Student Innovation Expo, hosted by the Riata Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This event offers valuable feedback from industry experts and entrepreneurial judges.

 

Open to all Oklahoma State University students, regardless of major or business experience, the Expo awards scholarships to the overall winner and the top three finalists in each expo track.

 

A People’s Choice Award is also selected by attendees.

 

The Expo features two rounds:

• Round One: Participants present a poster and a brief pitch to a panel of judges.
• Round Two: The top two finalists from each track compete in a three-minute pitch-off to determine the overall winner.

Participants will enter their ideas into one of the four expo tracks:

                

• Main Street Lifestyle Businesses should include products or services available for a larger market scope.
• Big City/High Tech Businesses should have an IP or technology component.
• Social Enterprises should implement solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues.
• Rising Entrepreneur includes anyone who received scholarship money from a previous Student Innovation Expo, no matter of their previous track.
