Chuck and Kim Watson are Oklahoma State University graduates who have been supporters of OSU in numerous ways over the years. Chuck earned a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1972, while Kim graduated with a teaching degree. Each of their three children – Brian, Keri and Carly – also attended and graduated from OSU.

Chuck Watson spent 13 years with Conoco before founding his own company, The Natural Gas Clearinghouse, which later became Dynegy. He later founded Eagle Energy Partners, which was acquired by Lehman Brothers. In 2010, Watson co-founded Twin Eagle Resource Management.
Kim Watson is a distinguished teacher, speaker and philanthropist and is the vice president of Inspire Women, a ministry that urges women to serve God’s purpose. She was inducted into OSU’s College of Education Hall of Fame in 2010.

Chuck Watson was inducted into the Spears School of Business Hall of Fame in 1996, the OSU Alumni Association Hall of Fame in 1997 and was selected as one of the “Spears School Tributes: 100 For 100” in 2014 when OSU celebrated 100 years of business education. In 2001, he was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame and named a Master Entrepreneur by Ernst & Young. He received the Henry G. Bennett Distinguished Service Award from OSU in 2002.

The Watsons’ gift of cash, pledges and an estate commitment, when combined with matching gifts, made it possible to establish the Watson Graduate School of Management and the Watson Trading Floor classroom in the Business Building. The school is home to all of the Spears School’s graduate programs, including the MBA and doctorate programs.
