What are the requirements?
The CSSE is looking for well-rounded students who want to gain valuable professional skills to help them in whatever career they pursue. The classes and engagement will provide you with knowledge, skills and training for sales and sales leadership.
Students that are business majors must complete 12 hours beyond 3213 and 3013 and non-business majors must complete 18 hours. All students must apply and be accepted to the program for certification: • MKTG 3213 Principles of Marketing (part of SSB undergraduate core curriculum)* • MGMT 3013 Fundamentals of Management (part of SSB undergraduate core curriculum)* • MKTG 3473 Professional Selling* • MKTG 4473 Advanced Professional Selling* Students may select 6 hours: • MKTG 4513 Sales Management (recommended) • MKTG 3873 Internship: (recommended) • MKTG 4773 Services Marketing (can be substituted for one of the above, if needed)
What can you expect?
Students must commit to attend and participate at monthly meetings/networking events.
Students will receive courses and high engagement opportunities to give you real world skills in consultative selling and customer retention as well as many networking opportunities with representatives from companies in varied industries and sizes looking to hire.
Further, students will have the option to join the Sales Team to compete with other universities and mentor other students.
