This self-paced, virtual program assists those new to management by developing individual self-awareness, leadership and communication skills. Participants also learn organizational development practices to help achieve an organization's goals.

    This workshop will focus on components of Authentic Leadership and how this leadership philosophy is more important now than ever.  Components will involve self-awareness, relationship transparency, balanced processing, and an internalized moral perspective.

    Mentoring and Coaching for Outstanding Performance

    Speaker: Raj Basu

     

    The need for coaching is helpful to increase employees’ performance skills. Personal influence and emphasis of behaviors, not just attitudes are important. Effective goal setting and understanding emotional and social needs are keys to success as well.  Mentoring can make an important difference in improved performance.

    Leading with Fairness

    This session reviews four types of fairness that are important to employees: outcome fairness; process fairness; interpersonal fairness; and information fairness. Recommendations are included on how you lead with fairness.

    Project Management

    Speaker: Stephanie Royce

     

    Addressed in this session will be the roles and responsibilities of a project manager and helpful scheduling and reporting tools and techniques.  The session will address project initiation, project planning, project execution, monitoring and controlling and completion.

    From Traditionals to Gen Z

    Speaker: Bryan Edwards

     

    For the first time, five generations are converging in the workplace…Traditionals, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z.  To understand the defining events of each generation which helps drive the core values, will result in a better understanding of the generations and how best to communicate and understand expectations of each generation.

    Managing Difficult People in Difficult Situations

    Speaker: Mac McCrory

     

    At times, you may deal with people who are difficult to get along with.  These people include direct reports, supervisors, clients, customers, vendors, friends, and even family.  You will learn practical skills to help you effectively manage challenging people and situations.

  • Certificate Information
    Participants will earn an Emerging Leader in Manufacturing Certificate after completion of eight sessions. This certificate is worth up to 2.4 CEU’s (24 hours) for eight sessions. Individual sessions are worth .3 CEU credits.
