    Soumya Ranjan Kar Choudhury

    Senior Data Scientist, Pricing – International Merchandising, Walmart Global Tech. Soumya Ranjan started his career as a data analyst in a small firm in Bangalore, India and now works for Walmart to save money in people’s lives and make them live better, using machine learning. He strongly believes data science and AI Tech could be used to solve the biggest problems our planet deals with, starting from food shortages to global warming. He has 4 years’ experience in the field of retail and media analytics and loves to simplify complex data-related problems for which he is best known for.

     

    Goutam Chakraborty
    Chakraborty, Ph.D., is the SAS Professor of Marketing Analytics and Director of M.S. in Business Analytics and Data Science at the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.

     

    Katherine Coon
    Coon is a story-teller of data through visualization and business strategies. She resides in Orlando, Florida and when she is not working hard at Disney she is playing hard at Disney.

    Britton Firth

    Data Scientist, ONE Gas

    Britton Firth started her career in sales where she quickly discovered an interest in data that led her back to Oklahoma State for a graduate degree. After earning her MS in Business Analytics and Data Science, she returned to the workforce accepting a position as a Data Scientist at ONE Gas. Britton is passionate about solving business problems using analytics that create value for the organization.

     

    Mat Hughes

    Analytics Practice Lead, InterWorks, Inc.

    Before moving into consulting, Mat Hughes spent years in the hospitality industry helping hotels make better data-driven decisions. He now leads several teams of data professionals within the Analytics Practice at InterWorks. They help clients build user-centered data products and enable self-service analytics.

     

    Dmitriy Khots

    VP Customer Insights, Intrado, Omaha, NE

    Dmitriy Khots is the VP Customer Insights at Intrado, where he oversees enterprise data architecture, data science and data platform management. Dr. Khots has 20 years advanced analytics experience across a wide range of industries. Dr Khots serves on the corporate advisory board for Oklahoma State University’s Analytics and Data Mining Programs and holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from University of Iowa.

     

    Brian Miles

    Vice President, US Professional Services, SAS Analytics

    Brian Miles has led deliveries of Business Solutions and Analytic Insights across virtually all industries over the last 20 years. His team of highly qualified advisory consultants, data scientists, and technical consultants are responsible for deploying value-focused analytical solutions to SAS customers across the US. Brian’s team also includes the SAS Advanced Analytics Lab which is responsible for applying analytics to help SAS customers solve some of the world’s most challenging issues (ex. water quality/access, human trafficking, pandemic simulations, etc.) Brian also has contributed to 9 Patents while at SAS, spanning across analytic delivery methodologies, statistical methods, and cloud computing.

     

    Dr. Ramesh Sharda

    Vice Dean, Watson Graduate School of Management, Watson/ConocoPhillips Chair and Regents Professor of MSIS, Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University

     

    Teja Sagi
    Sagi is a Data Scientist at Rx Savings. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Business Analytics, he loves developing/enhancing the products using Data Engineering and Machine Learning.

     

    Sravan Vadigepalli

    Director Data Analytics, Target

    Sravan Vadigepalli has spent the past decade building and curating data analytics teams in the retail industry. He specializes in translating data into insights and applications of Machine Learning models to ever evolving digital retail space. Sravan did his MS in MIS from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Outside of work, Sravan is a self-proclaimed long-distance endurance runner.

    Hotel rooms for SAS Analytics Day can be reserved at the Atherton Hotel at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK at 405-744-6838. Block will be held until April 4.

     

    Airline

    You can fly commercial into Stillwater, OK, on American Airlines. There is a flight departing Stillwater at 2:31 pm on May 4 for the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The conference is structured so that you can attend all of the sessions except for the student panel after lunch and still depart on the 2:31 pm Stillwater flight AA3881.
