Live virtual sessions offered for clerks, treasurers and finance officials

OSU's Spears School of Business will be hosting virtual sessions for Oklahoma municipal clerks, treasurers and finance officials Oct. 13-14. These programs are designed for city clerks, treasurers and finance officials who are needing educational hours for their various certifications.

 

Participants will attend the Institute if working towards their Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) or Certified Public Finance Administrator (CPFA). Participants attend the Academy if working towards their Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) or Advanced Certified Public Finance Administrator (ACPFA). 

 

Lynsey Turlington, Institute and Academy Director at OSU Spears School of Business, noted that the education will be offered in a different format than previous sessions and was thankful to recruit speakers who are happy to accommodate the education.

 

“We are thrilled to be involved in the institute and academy virtual sessions,” said Sherry Fletcher, director of marketing and civic engagement for the City of Stillwater. “This information will provide individuals with the tools they need to be a leader in challenging times, involve the community and create a crisis communication plan.” 

 

Institute Sessions

  • Leading with Fairness, Oct. 13 from 2-4 p.m. with Dr. Lindsey Greco, assistant professor, department of management, OSU Spears School of Business,
  • Ways to Involve Citizens, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m.-noon with Sherry Fletcher director of marketing and civic engagement, City of Stillwater.

Academy Sessions

  • How to Develop & Execute a Crisis Communication Plan, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m.-noon with Sherry Fletcher .
  • Leading Through Turmoil or Large-Scale Change, Oct. 14 from 2-4 p.m. with Dr. Lindsey Greco.
