The Richard L. Tourtellotte Family Scholarship supports business creation in Oklahoma and encourages academic exploration of public-private collaboration to drive economic growth and job creation.

Application requirements

• Deadline: December 16, 2026
• Must be a participant in the Riata Business Plan Competition
• Currently enrolled OSU undergraduate or graduate student (December graduates are eligible)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Completed application
• 250-word essay: How can the public and private sectors collaborate to foster economic development?

Scholarship Details:

• $3,000 award
• The recipient will be honored with naming recognition on benches in the Tourtellotte Family Garden, located on the north side of the Business Building.

Selection Review

Following the submission deadline, all applications will be reviewed by the selection committee. The scholarship recipient will be announced during the awards ceremony on January 29, 2027.
