Dr. Maribeth Kuzmeski is the recipient of the 2023 OSU Online Teaching Excellence Award, Vice Provost Christine Ormsbee recently announced. This award was created to recognize and honor faculty who demonstrate a strong commitment to engaged online teaching and student success.

 

As Associate Professor of Professional Practice in the School of Marketing and International Business, Kuzmeski teaches four very popular online courses, including the business major core, MKTG 3213 Marketing.

 

She has developed additional online courses with curriculum in brand marketing, influence and content marketing. Kuzmeski was the first Spears faculty to develop an online course in the school’s Name, Image and Likeness credit course series, which teaches students about personal brand management.

 

Reaching almost 2,500 students in her teaching career at OSU, Kuzmeski’s courses consistently reach enrollment capacity with students eager to experience her interactive and engaging instruction. Her ability to design and deliver high quality online courses earns her high marks on a variety of course and professor rating instruments, including the university Student Survey of Instruction and Rate My Professors.

 

Kuzmeski will be presented the award at the University Awards Convocation on Dec. 4.
