The MS in Business Analytics and Data Science (MS BAnDS) is a STEM program that offers students practical data analysis experience by applying knowledge acquired in classrooms to solving real-world business problems. We use state-of-the-art enterprise-level analytics software from multiple vendors. Beyond 22 credit hours of core courses, students have the choice of specializing in various options such as marketing analytics, healthcare analytics, advanced data science or cybersecurity analytics.

OSU’s Business Analytics and Data Science students continue to show they are among the best in the world. At the University of South Carolina's National Big Data Health Science Conference a team of OSU students placed first out of 16 teams. Max Griffin, Abbas Kalbe Agharia, Sristhi Srivastava and Kalpesh Mulye — master’s students in the business analytics and data science program — competed virtually and were one of six teams advancing to the finals, eventually earning first place and the $4,000 prize that came with it.
