Institute and Academy

The Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Institute and Academy programs are educational certification programs designed to develop technical skills and administrative, financial and leadership abilities. Presented in conjunction with the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks, Treasurers and Finance Officials Association.

    Institute - March 4-7, 2024

    • In-person program: $425 per person

Certification Programs

Institute

one-time fee of $20 is required to participate in the Institute program and participants must be either a clerk or treasurer. If you serve as both the clerk and treasurer for your municipality a one-time fee of $40 is required to participate in the Institute program. The fee must be received in order for your registration to be officially completed. Any hours attended prior to official enrollment in the certification program will not be included on your transcript. The Institute certification program is a precursor to the Academy certification program and must be completed prior to enrollment in the Academy.

Academy

Policies and Information 

  • How do I keep track of my credit?

    You can track your credit with a transcript produced by OSU and sent out semi-annually in the spring and fall. It is important to note that in order for OSU to track your credit and for you to receive your transcript, you MUST be registered for the certification program which has a one-time $20 fee ($40 if requesting for both Clerk and Treasurer) and is separate from annual dues. Once Institute hours are completed, you can register for the Academy Certification for an additional $20 ($40 if requesting for both Clerk and Treasurer).

    Institute Clerks:

    • Public Administration - 60 hours
    • Social/Interpersonal - 40 hours
    • Electives - 20 hours

    Institute Treasurers:

    • 100 hours

    Academy Clerks:

    • 120 hours total

    Academy Treasurers:

  • Program Policies

    Full attendance is required to receive credit for Institute sessions. In order to receive credit, participants will need to scan the QR code at the door and fill out the form with first and last name.

     

    Review the all CFW program policies. All programs presented by the Center for the Future of Work are subject to these policies.
