The following are approximate net tuition and fees for students admitted to approved online programs who are taking only online classes for their entire program.

Undergraduates 

Resident - $432.40 per credit hour

Non-resident - $949.75 per credit hour

 

Graduates

  • Resident - $481.15 per credit hour

    These rates apply to graduate resident students, who are admitted to an online program.

    These rates do not apply to a graduate student admitted to the OSU Graduate College as non-degree seeking.

     

         
    Gross tuition and university wide fees per credit hour   $383.85*
    Gross business college fees per credit hour ($124.80 college fee + $6.00 Business graduate program fee)   $130.80
    Waiver of university fees for students admitted to an approved online programs who have only taken online classes   (33.50)
    Net cost per credit hour   $481.15

    * Includes $16.50 infrastructure fee which varies per student. All tuition and fee rates are subject to change.

    The fees outlined in the preceding chart assume that students are pure-online students. Pure-online students are students who have been admitted to an online program and have never taken an on-campus class while in that program. These students have some of their university fees waived, and those waivers are included in the preceding table. Students who are not pure-online students will not be eligible for these waivers and will also be responsible for the following fees per credit hour:

    Facility Fee – General   $5.95
    Activity Fee – Athletics   $5.50
    Student Development Fee   $2.90
    Health Service Fee   $6.00
    Facility Fee – Campus Recreation   $3.00
    Transit/Parking Services Fee   $2.50
    Student Union Renovation Fee   $5.15
    Total Waived Fees   ($33.50)

    Note that graduate students who take on-campus courses will be required to pay $250 per semester in professional master’s program fees.

     

    Rates for courses taken in other colleges or taken by students from other colleges may vary. In addition, some courses may have additional course-specific fees.

  • Non-resident - $611.35

    These rates apply to graduate non-resident students, who are admitted to an online program.

Drops and refunds

Refer to the Office of the Registrar for add/drop deadlines. Short courses do not have the same deadlines as semester-long courses. For these courses, please refer to the Short Courses Class Schedule.
