Detailed Enrollment Process
Failure to follow these steps or to complete them in the proper order will cause delays in enrollment.
Enrollment for business online learning courses must be completed through Banner Self Service.
To ensure a spot in a course, it is encouraged for students to enroll as soon as courses become available.
Admittance to Oklahoma State University is required to enroll. If not already admitted, graduates visit the Graduate College and undergraduates may visit the Admissions Office.
Per OSU policy, students who are not enrolled in at least one course before the first day of classes for a given semester but who later enroll for that semester will be charged a $50 late fee by OSU.
Students considering taking more than nine hours in the fall or spring – or more than six in the summer – are strongly encouraged to consult with an advisor.
Visit with an advisor about course selection.
Prior to undergraduate enrollment, an appointment with an advisor is necessary. For more information on undergraduate enrollment visit the Spears School Student Services website.
New graduate students who have not yet submitted a plan of study must seek advisement with an advisor. Advisor information for each program is below.

Forms Required Before Enrollment
- Student Information Form
- Online Learning Proctor Agreement Form – must be approved by Michael and Anne Greenwood Center for Online Excellence. (see below under Proctor Agreement Form)
- Review Proctor Policies
Proctor Agreement Form
Review the course syllabus located on the online classroom portal Brightspace to determine if a proctor is required for exams. If the exam is to be proctored by a testing center, each semester, students will need to select a testing center from the a pre-approved list, for each course(s). If unable to find a testing center from the pre-approved list, then the Proctor Agreement Form will need to be submitted by going to spearsonline.okstate.edu, editing testing center next to each course(s) and submit. All proctors are approved through the Michael and Anne Greenwood Center for Online Excellence. Allow 24 to 48 hours for your request to be processed.
A testing center can be changed during the semester, however changing less than 4 days prior to the exam start date, the Michael and Anne Greenwood Center for Online Excellence will need to be notified immediately or the exam will not be sent to the proctor.
If exams are to be taken with the instructor (if allowed), it is still necessary to edit testing center for each course and check the box “Instructor Can Admin Test” then save at spearsonline.okstate.edu.
