  • Pitch & Poster Competition

    All businesses start with a cool idea. Before committing to writing a business plan, a pitch and poster competition is the perfect way to get feedback on your new business idea or product. The Pitch and Poster Competition is a campus-wide event where students have a chance to present an elevator pitch and a poster about their original business service or product idea for a chance to win cash prizes.
  • Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup Competition

    The Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup is a statewide collegiate business plan competition that simulates the real world process of researching a market, writing a business plan and making a presentation to potential investors. With the Governor’s Cup competition, we are proving that Oklahoma has the resources and commitment to grow more entrepreneurs who will lead future startups that will create jobs and wealth for the state.

Student Incubators

  • accelerateOSU

    accelerateOSU is an off-campus student business incubator facility that provides office space, resources and services to student startups from every discipline across campus. accelerateOSU currently houses two programs - the Riata Idea Hatchery and the Riata New Venture Incubator, each of which caters to students in different stages of their startup business.
  • 36 Degrees North

    36°N is the basecamp for Tulsa’s startup community. 36⁰N helps entrepreneurs find direction, assemble a team and venture forth to build successful businesses. With over 11,000 square feet of vibrant work, collaboration and event space in the heart of The Brady Arts District, this resource center will serve as a central gathering point for Tulsa’s entrepreneurial community, resources and programs.


  • Riata Internship Program

    The Riata Entrepreneurial Internship Program provides entrepreneurial opportunities for highly qualified undergraduate and graduate students. Interns add meaningful value to the work environment and produce a number of useful deliverables. Interns also take independent study credits in order to meet certain curriculum requirements.

    The Center for Advanced Global Leadership and Engagement (CAGLE) is the “hub” of all Spears School of Business international initiatives supporting and engaging students, faculty, alumni, academic partners, industry leaders and government officials.

Student Clubs

  • E-Club

    The Entrepreneurship Club (E-Club) of Oklahoma State University is a student organization connecting the dots between ambitious students and the resources needed to help them to materialize their entrepreneurial goals. We are dedicated to fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship on our campus, and to create innovative opportunities for students to connect with entrepreneurs and others in the entrepreneurial community.

Startup Activities

  • Startup Weekend

    Startup Weekend is a weekend-long hands-on experience where entrepreneurs find out if startup ideas are viable. The event is opened to an entire community so students will be working alongside a community’s best makers, doers, and star entrepreneurs.


  • Veteran’s Entrepreneurship Program (VEP)

    VEP is a cutting edge, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to veterans disabled as a result of their service. The intent of the VEP is to open the door to entrepreneurial opportunity and small business ownership, by developing competencies in the many steps and activities associated with creating and sustaining an entrepreneurial venture, and also by helping coordinate efforts with programs and services for veterans and others with disabilities.

Institute for Free Enterprise & Entrepreneurship

  • Institute for Free Enterprise & Entrepreneurship

    The Institute for Free Enterprise & Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University promotes extensive interdisciplinary research programs, comprehensive education programs from undergraduate to Ph.D. level, and outreach programs for OSU students and Oklahoma citizens.

CIE Scholar Program

  • CIE Scholars Program

    The Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CIE) Scholars Program is a distinguished initiative developed to recognize and engage the graduate students at OSU. Each year, up to 10 outstanding MBA students and a select number of students from graduate programs across campus are chosen based on an application and interview process. Selected individuals will receive a $5000 scholarship awarded over two semesters and, at the end of the academic year, a plaque recognizing their service as a CIE Scholar. Selection criteria will include previous academic performance and achievements, leadership experiences, extra-curricular or community engagement activity, and unique life accomplishments. Students with academic interests in any discipline are welcome to apply.
