Daniel Milner is Assistant Professor of Management at Oklahoma State University, USA.
His PhD in Management & Organizations is from Northwestern University, where his dissertation
offered a functionalist account of societal discourse surrounding economic policy
reforms in Argentina and Mexico. Other work during this time was published in the
Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Annals, and Journal of Management
Inquiry and by Oxford University Press. Since becoming a faculty member, his scholarly
interests have taken critical and interpretive turns, seeking to integrate systems
psychodynamics and intersectionality into mainstream organization theory, in contexts
including environmental justice, institutional change, and group processes. His teaching
interests include leadership and power and organizational politics, and he has extensive
experience teaching strategic management.
