At the OSU ISyTE Academy, you will spend six days on the OSU-Stillwater campus interacting with current OSU MIS students and faculty membe
Information Technology Exploration
Learn how computer components work together to process information. You will receive a box of parts, tools and software, and you will build a functioning computer.
Students will choose and install an operating system, check BIOS settings and add critical software needed for other activities during the week on the machines they have built.
Students will use an accessible computer language to develop scripts for solving the camp computing scenario.
Teams of students receive a box of “stuff” and build a network of computers or other devices. You will learn to interconnect computers into a basic network that relies on peer to peer connections.
Teams will go beyond the peer to peer environment and use scanning techniques to identify and neutralize a “rogue” server.
Reflections on the week’s modules and the outcome of the camp computing scenario. Sweet success!
