Endowed Scholarships
Allen Family Scholar Leader Scholarship Fund
The Jack Allen Family established this scholarship in 1997. This is a scholarship that can be renewed for up to four years. Students who receive this scholarship are required to participate in Scholar Leader activities throughout the year and maintain high academic standing in order to receive this scholarship each year.
Bess Allen Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship was established by friends and family in 1979 in memory of Bess Allen who was a member of the School of Business faculty. This scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, and need.
Christopher Anderson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Christopher Anderson’s family endowed this scholarship in 2008. This scholarship supports full-time, out-of-state students enrolled in the Spears School of Business.
Steven E. Ashby Memorial Fund
Mr. Harold Ashby bequeathed money to the School of Business in 1998 to establish a scholarship in memory of his son, Steven E. Ashby. This scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and need.
Burl Austin Accounting Scholarship
Dr. John C. Rich established this scholarship in 2016 to benefit a junior, senior or Master's level student who has a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and their permanent residence is located in either the State of Oklahoma or the State of Kansas.
Austin Internal Audit
The Austin Internal Audit scholarship was established by friends of Mr. Burl Austin at his retirement to benefit a deserving student in the School of Accounting.
John T. & Beverly Bale Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2001 by friends and family to honor Dr. Bale upon his retirement from OSU and the School of Business. Dr. Bale served many years as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. Need is a priority for this scholarship, and achievement is also a factor.
Bank of America Scholar Leader Scholarship
This scholarship was originally established by Boatman’s National Bank of Oklahoma in 1996. Boatman’s was purchased by Bank of America in 2000, and the name of the scholarship was changed at that time. Students who receive this scholarship are required to participate in Scholar Leader activities throughout the year and maintain high academic standing.
Barclay Family Endowed Scholarship
Tom K. Barclay established this scholarship in 2014 to benefit a full-time student at OSU in the Spears School of Business residing in Oklahoma whose grade point average is within a range of 2.75 - 3.25.
Arlene White Barnes Scholarship in Business
Ann Ervin established this scholarship in 2011 to benefit a full-time student at OSU in the Spears School of Business.
Robert A. Bass Memorial Scholarship
R. Russell Bass created this scholarship to honor the memory of his father, Robert Bass, in 1990. This scholarship is designed to support students working on a Masters of Science in Telecommunications Management.
Russell H. & Florence J. Baugh Scholarship
Florence Baugh established this scholarship in 1991 in memory of her husband Russell H. Baugh. Dr. Baugh was a Professor Emeritus and long-time former Head of the Department of Economics. This is an Economics Department scholarship, which is designed to help the School of Business attract and retain high-potential freshmen from Oklahoma who are interested in majoring in economics.
BKD, LLP Accounting Scholarship
BKD, LLP established this scholarship in 2013 to benefit a full-time student at OSU that is majoring in the School of Accounting.
Chip and Kimberly Blagg Endowed Scholar Leader Scholarship
Chip and Kimberly Blagg established this scholarship in 2016 to benefit an incoming freshman student for up to four years of continuous enrollment as an undergraduate.

J.H. and J.L. Boggs Scholarship
Dr. James Boggs worked for OSU for 48 years as first a faculty member and then an administrator. He earned both his bachelors and masters degrees in mechanical engineering from OSU. This scholarship was created in 1991 to attract high-achieving freshmen to the Spears School of Business and to retain this student during his/her matriculation.
Armon H. Bost Graduate Scholarship
Midwesco Industries, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma endowed this scholarship in 1990. This scholarship was designed to support graduate students who are working on their Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Economics and are residents of Oklahoma. Recipients must be employed, have financial need, and demonstrate scholastic and leadership ability.
Karl G. and Carol A. Bovee Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Karl and Carol Bovee in 2011. This scholarship is for full-time finance majors who earn at least a 2.8 GPA.
Olin D. Branstetter Memorial Scholarship
Mr. and Mrs. Olin R. Branstetter established this scholarship in memory of their son, Olin D. Branstetter, in 1995. This scholarship is designed to assist students who are working their way through school and who do not qualify for other need-based financial aid.
David W. Brown & Karen Bale-Brown Endowed Business Scholarship
David W. Brown and Karen Bale-Brown created this scholarship to support full-time business students who maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and have documented financial need.
Judson and Mary Bryan Endowed Scholarship Fund
In 2000, Mary Bryan endowed this scholarship. This scholarship is geared towards students who are working their way through school and also have a strong academic record.
Robert Buford Endowed Scholarship
Bob Buford created this scholarship in 2001 for students majoring in Finance Risk Management. Recipients are required to maintain a strong GPA while receiving this scholarship.

Burris Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Edward C. Burris by his family and friends in 1971. Dr. Burris was an associate dean for the School of Business for over two decades and made many contributions to the college’s development. This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate high academic achievement, leadership, and need.
The Buster Family Scholarship Fund
Heather Shea, who graduated from the Spears School of Business in 1996 with a degree in management, established this scholarship in 2009. Recipients of this scholarship must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership experience and financial need.
Mary Sue Butler Endowed Scholarship Fund
Mary Sue Butler-Clyne established this scholarship in 2003. This scholarship gives first preference to Native American students and is designed to support students who are involved in activities and display academic achievement and financial need.
Jeff & Vickie Carr Endowed Scholarship in Accounting
Jeff and Vickie Carr established this scholarship in 2013 to benefit a full-time student at OSU in the Spears School of Business that is engaged in a course of study leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
John B. & Nancy S. Cathey Endowed Scholarship Fund
The criteria for this scholarship are participation in leadership activities, a strong academic record, and financial need.
E. Virginia Charlson Endowed Scholarship
George W. Charlson endowed this scholarship in 2011 to support students who have one or more parents who are serving or who have previously served in a branch of the United States military.
Chesapeake Energy Corporation Business Scholars Program for Rural Oklahomans Fund
The Chesapeake Energy Corporation set up this scholarship in the spring of 2009 to support students from rural communities who exhibit financial need and leadership ability. Students who receive this scholarship are required to participate in Scholar Leader activities throughout the year and maintain high academic standing.

Choctaw Nation Business & Leadership Endowed Scholarship
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma created this scholarship in 2015 to help full-time business students who are juniors or seniors, maintain a 3.0 or greater GPA, and are verified citizens of the Choctaw Nation.
Stephen C. Clark Endowed Scholarship
Stephen C. Clark endowed this scholarship in 2012 to assist incoming freshmen business students.

Karen T. Dugger established this scholarship in 2009 to benefit a full-time student at OSU in the Spears School of Business.

Cynthia Goldberg, Susan Scharf and Michael Scharf established this scholarship in 2014 to benefit a full-time student at OSU in the Spears School of Business that has an average grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Charles Eitel graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1971. He established this scholarship for students majoring in Marketing.
Sheila M. and David C. Ellis SSB Entrepreneurship Endowed Scholarship
Sheila and David Ellis established this scholarship in 2013 to benefit a full-time undergraduate student at OSU in the Entrepreneurship program at the Spears School of Business.

Sheila and David Ellis established this scholarship in 2013 to benefit a full-time undergraduate student at OSU in the Finance program at the Spears School of Business.
Lucas Elwell Scholarship for International Studies
Lucas Elwell established this scholarship in 2014 to benefit a full-time student in the Spears School of Business. The recipient must have completed a study abroad program or be participating in a study abroad program in the current semester in which the scholarship is awarded.
Ernst & Young Endowed PPA Scholarship Fund
This scholarship supports undergraduate or graduate students in the Accounting PPA program.
ExxonMobil Controllers Alumni Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was created through the efforts of several donors in 2004. This scholarship supports students working on their Masters in Business Administration who have outstanding grades and are very involved in clubs and organizations. In order for second-year MBA students to qualify for this scholarship, they must have had distinguished accomplishments during their first year in the graduate program.
Farnsworth Graduate Fellowship
Mr. Robert Farnsworth earned his undergraduate degree in marketing from OSU in 1971. He is currently the CEO of PlayCore, and has maintained an active interface with OSU and the Spears School of Business over the past several years. Robert and Linda Farnsworth established this fellowship in 2010 to support full time graduate students pursuing their MBAs. Preference is given to married students with financial need.
Linda & Richard Farris Graduate Assistant Fellowship in Memory of William Lewis Zimmerman for SSB
Linda and Richard Farris established this fellowship in 2012, in memory of William Lewis Zimmerman, to provide needed instructional experience for graduate students, increasing their future employment option.
Fisher Family Endowed Scholarship Fund
Carroll Fisher established this scholarship in 2007. This scholarship gives preference to the students with the greatest financial need who also have strong leadership skills and good grades.
Joe W. Fowler Endowed Scholarship Fund
Tom and Mary Beadles established these scholarships in 2001. Tom graduated OSU in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mary graduated the same year with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. These scholarships honor the namesakes of respected professors who were mentors to Tom. The Beadles are passionate about helping students have the opportunity to pursue a higher education. Their scholarships support business students who maintain a 3.0 GPA with preference given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Sandra Siegfried established this scholarship in 2014 to benefit a full-time student at OSU in the Spears School of Business and must have declared major in Accounting.

The Frontier Federal Savings and Loan Association of Stillwater established this scholarship in 1978. This scholarship supports Oklahoma residents who demonstrate leadership, good character, and need.

The Spears School of Business established this scholarship in 2012 to benefit a full-time student at OSU in the School of Entrepreneurship.
Lloyd L. Garrison Scholarship
Lloyd L. Garrison established this scholarship in 1985. Leadership, academic achievement, and need are important factors in qualifying for this scholarship.
Duane V. and Lois B. Geis Endowed Scholarship
Duane and Lois Geis established this scholarship in 2000. This scholarship is designed to support students who are involved in leadership activities and maintain an acceptable GPA.
Fred and Janice Gibson Endowed Scholarship in Spears School of Business
Fred and Janice Gibson created this scholarship in 2012 to support incoming freshmen students with high GPAs, financial need, and leadership and community service experience for four years provided the students continue to fulfill the requirements.

This scholarship was established in 2000 by family and friends in memory of Wayne Grovenberg, an employee of Data-Tronics Corp. in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This scholarship is designed to support students majoring in MIS, MSCS, or Computer Science who maintain an acceptable GPA. Need is not a factor for this scholarship.
James and Catsy Gunn Endowed Scholarship in Accounting
James and Catsy Gunn established this scholarship in 2015 to encourage academic excellence in the School of Accounting. The scholarship will be awarded to a senior level student whose academic performance reflects a high likelihood of successfully achieving a degree in Accounting.
B. Curtis Hamm Endowed Scholarship
B. Curtis Hamm established this scholarship in 2004 to support undergraduate Marketing majors and MBA students who have strong leadership skills and high academic achievement. Dr. Hamm, a long time professor in the School of Business, was a strong supporter of the school.
B.F. Harrison Scholarship Fund
Kenneth Hurst and friends and family of Professor B.F. Harrison created this scholarship in honor of Dr. Harrison upon his retirement from OSU in 1962. Recipients of this scholarship must be majoring in accounting.
James and Joan Harrison Endowed Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was set up by James and Joan Harrison in 2002. This is an MSIS scholarship designed for MSIS majors who do well academically and have financial need.
Andrew Benjamin Hawkins Memorial Scholarship Fund
Terry and Brenda Hawkins established this scholarship in 2009 to benefit a full-time junior or senior in the Spears School of Business that exhibit leadership skills and has a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Audra Renee Hedden Endowed Scholarship Fund
Margaret Carol Hedden endowed this scholarship in honor of her daughter, Audra Renee Hedden, in 2001. The criteria for this scholarship are financial need and a strong academic record.

Jerry M. and Linda K. Hedges established this scholarship to support full time business students.
Jay L. Helm Scholar Leaders Scholarship
J. Loy Helm created this scholarship in 1998 to attract high-achieving freshmen to OSU and the Spears School. This is a four-year, participation-based scholarship. Recipients must maintain an acceptable GPA and actively participate in the Scholar Leader program in order to receive this scholarship all four years.
Hensley Family Scholarship for Financial Internships
Arthur L. “Chuck” and Joan H. Hensley created this scholarship in 2010 to offset the cost of summer internships in significant financial centers held by full-time undergraduate finance, economics, and marketing students who are interested in a career in investments. Students must be juniors or seniors and maintain a 3.0 GPA.
Hensley Family Scholarship for Undergraduates
Joan and Arthur Hensley established this scholarship in 2016 to benefit a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Finance with an expressed interest in a study abroad program.
Jerry and Carole Herzberg Endowed Scholarship
Jerry Herzberg established this scholarship in 2014 to benefit a full-time student in the Spears School of Business with a grade point average of at least a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
Hill Family Scholarship in Business
Aaron Hill established this scholarship in 2015 to benefit a full-time student with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Michael Hiney Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
Michael Hiney established this scholarship in 2010 to support undergraduate students having graduated from either Sapulpa Public Schools or Edmond Public Schools.

This scholarship was established upon the retirement of long time business employee, Jack Horner, and was first awarded in 1991. This scholarship supports students who are actively participating in clubs and organizations, demonstrating leadership ability, and maintaining good grades.
Rex & Charlotte Horning Bootstrap Endowed Scholarship
Rex and Charlotte Horning endowed this scholarship in 2008. They both earned their bachelors degrees from the Business School in 1974 and 1989 respectively. This scholarship is designed to support students who have a good academic record and have clearly demonstrated an ability to seek leadership responsibilities and to serve others.
Leading Oklahoma: The Dan & Tiffany Howard Scholarship for MBA Students
This scholarship was set up by Daniel and Tiffany Sewell Howard in 2004 to support students pursuing their MBA.
Don Humphreys MBA Scholarship Fund
Don Humphreys set up this scholarship in 2003. Graduate students who are in the business college are eligible to receive this award as long as their undergraduate degree was in engineering. Recipients also need to demonstrate a strong academic record.

Nola Miyaski and Michael Morris established this scholarship to benefit a full-time undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrated excellence in terms of engagement in curricular and extracurricular activities having an entrepreneurial focus.
H. L. Ingham Endowed Scholarship Fund
H.L. Ingham created this scholarship in 1991. In order to qualify for this scholarship, students must maintain good grades and have financial need.
Fran Jabara Endowed Scholarship Fund
Fran Jabara endowed this scholarship in 2003. Each year, this scholarship supports two students in the Entrepreneurship Department who demonstrate financial need.

The William Kincaid scholarship was first awarded in 1991. This scholarship is for students majoring in marketing.

This scholarship supports Accounting students.
David and Susan Kuzmic Endowed Scholarship Fund
Sheryl (Kuzmic) Bowman earned her bachelor’s degree in MSIS in 2004 and a master’s in MIS in 2006. She set up this scholarship in honor of her parents in 2008. This scholarship supports MSIS students who graduated from an Oklahoma high school and have a strong GPA.
Gerald M. Lage Memorial Graduate Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2007 in memory of Gerald M. Lage. It is awarded to full time graduate students who major in economics.
James Lathrop Scholarship Fund

Ed and Norma Leslie Scholarship Fund
Ed and Norma Leslie bequeathed the funds for this scholarship to the School of Business in 2004. Ed Leslie attended OSU’s College of Arts and Sciences in the 1930s. He and his wife of 62 years, Norma, were very involved in community charities and activities. Ed worked for the insurance industry for 60 years, so it is no surprise that this scholarship gives preference to students interested in insurance and/or financial management. Additional requirements of the scholarship are a strong academic record and financial need. Preference is given to graduate students; however, undergraduates are also eligible to receive this scholarship.

The Richard L. The recipient is selected from students who compete in OSU's Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition and write an essay on the topic of government and business interaction. The scholarship was created by the family of Richard L. Tourtellotte to reflect their father’s value in hard work and problem solving during a multi-faceted career. He owned and operated Oklahoma businesses for 50+ years and spent two decades in public service, including posts with U.S. Senators Henry Bellmon and Don Nickles, where he helped solve business issues impacting the state and its residents.

Raymond and Verna Young established this scholarship in 1998. This is a multi-year, participation scholarship that targets high-achieving, incoming freshmen. Students who receive this scholarship are required to participate in Scholar Leader activities throughout the year and maintain high academic standing in order to receive this scholarship each year.
Glenn and Rita Zannotti Endowed Scholarship
Glenn Zannotti endowed this scholarship in 2013. It supports full-time business students who work part-time or full-time in order to pay for their education, are sophomores, juniors, or seniors, and maintain a 2.5 to 3.0 GPA.
