How do you get the certificate?
Once you are admitted into the program, work with your academic advisor to create a plan of study (POS) that reflects the courses you intend to take based on your interests. Then, in the last semester when you are completing all coursework, you must file for graduation by November 1 (for Fall graduation) or April 1 (for Spring or Summer graduation). This is considered a graduate diploma and the form must be filed properly by the deadline to receive it. After you complete all requirements, the graduate college will mail you your certificate to your home address on file. Typically, you will expect to receive the certificate from the graduate college about 6 weeks after your last semester of study.
