Program Details - SAS® and OSU Data Mining Certificate Program

OSU students may earn up to three different levels of SAS® certificates that hierarchically build on each other. The requirements for earning the different levels of certificates are below.

To qualify for the SAS® and OSU Data Mining Certificate (core level), students must complete following.

  • Minimum 12 credit hours including: 
      • Required Core (6 hours): MBAN5733 (or, MKTG5983) and MBAN5743 (or,MKTG5963)
      • Electives (any 6 hours): MKTG5243, MKTG5253, MKTG5500, MSIS5633, MSIS5643 (or, IEM5723).
  • Certifications Required: SAS® Certified Base Programmer

To qualify for the SAS® and OSU Predictive Analytics Certificate (advanced level), students must complete following.

  • Minimum 18 credit hours including: 
      • Required Core (12 hours): MBAN5733, MBAN5743, MBAN5753 and STAT5023
      • Electives (any 6 hours): MKTG5243, MKTG5253, MKTG5500, MBAN5510-5550, MSIS5643 (or, IEM5723)

To qualify for the SAS® and OSU Marketing Data Science Certificate (expert level), students must complete following.

How Do You Get the SAS® and OSU Certificates?

First, ensure your plan of study reflects the courses required to get this certificate. Then, after you have completed all coursework and any required credentials for the certificate you are applying for, download the certificate application Excel spreadsheet (click here). Fill-in all the details in the certificate application Excel spreadsheet and send that via an email to analytics@okstate.edu. Your credentials will be verified and your certificate will be mailed to you.
