Shea Adamson is the owner and CEO of Kickoff Couture, a licensed game day apparel company, based in Oklahoma City. Kickoff Couture provides women’s apparel – representing nine universities – to consumers and retail boutiques across the country. She grew up a Cowboy legacy in Woodward, OK and graduated from Oklahoma State in 1998 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and in 2000 with her MBA. While at OSU, she served as a student assistant for Coach Eddie Sutton in the OSU Men’s Basketball office and was an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and Mortar Board.
Shea began her professional career as an analyst at Accenture Consulting, followed by many years in medical sales and marketing. After a very meaningful stint staying at home full time with her two children, Shea realized that she was happiest being a mom, while also having an outside job or passion for funneling her creative side. During a conversation with a friend at the 2012 Fiesta Bowl about the struggle to find fashionable game day options, the idea for Kickoff Couture was born. She was able to merge two of her favorite things, sports, and fashion, into a meaningful and prosperous business. She credits her time at OSU as one of the prime motivators in starting a business. “During OSU’s MBA program, I quickly learned that one of my strengths was assembling a knowledgeable and diverse team around me to combine our skills and maximize our success.”
Shea and her husband, Jamie Adamson, (B.S in MIS, Oklahoma State ’99) live in Oklahoma City with their two children, Avery, 11, and Alex, 6. You can find licensed Kickoff Couture apparel at over 200 boutiques across the country, as well as their online store at www.kickoffcouture.com.
