The Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance offers the perfect academic supplement for professionals wanting to increase and showcase their knowledge of information assurance and can be a gateway to the Masters in Management Information Systems (MSIS) degree with an emphasis in cybersecurity.

 

Coursework

Required Courses (6 credit hours):

  • MSIS 5203: Advanced Data Communications
  • MSIS 5213: Information Assurance Management

Electives (6 credit hours - select two of the following):

  • MSIS 5233: Applied Information Systems Security
  • MSIS 5253: Advanced System Certification and Accreditation
  • MSIS 5273: Legal and Ethical Issues in Information Technology
  • MSIS 5713: Scripting

 

Admissions requirements and deadlines

For fall admission, application must be complete by July 1 of the same year.

 

For spring admission, application must be complete by December 1 of the prior year.

 

All transcripts from bachelor degree studies as well as a CV/resume must be submitted by the deadline in order to be reviewed for admission. Applications that are incomplete at the deadline will not be reviewed. This application does not require recommendation letters, purpose statement or entrance exams such as the GMAT or GRE.
