Interns bring with them energy, drive and the latest industry knowledge. Because they offer sophisticated skill sets and professional abilities, they can immediately contribute to the hiring organizations.
For years the Spears School Career Services has strived to match talented students with organizations in meaningful and productive partnerships. Now Spears School Career Services is teaming up with the Center for Social and Services Marketing to identify marketing students who can assist social/service organizations to achieve their marketing goals and complete tasks that may include but are not limited to the following: leading focus groups, conducting evaluations and assessment surveys, planning fund-raising events and developing effective communication tools.
For the students, the internships allow them to gain practical work experience, which support their personal and professional goals, while completing their academic coursework. For the social and service organizations, hiring marketing interns means gaining valuable help that will allow other employees or volunteers a chance to concentrate on the services they are meant to provide.
