Oklahoma State University Center for Health Systems Innovation is transforming healthcare through creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We focus specifically on rural health innovation, patient care innovation, and data analytics. We operate at the crossroads of the OSU Spears School of Business and the OSU Center for Health Sciences, positioning us to innovate both clinical models and business models.

Description 

OSU Health Access Network (OSU HAN) is a service organization providing case management/care coordination, improved access to specialty care, expanded quality improvement, and data analysis to enhance the medical capabilities of OSU SoonerCare Choice providers. 

The Rural Oklahoma Network (ROK-Net) Rok-Net is a developing network focused on creating an alliance among OSU researchers, OSU innovators, and practicing rural primary care providers to identify and implement meaningful solutions to improve and transform daily rural primary care practice. Rural primary care providers interested in ROK-Net can learn more and register their interest here.

Health Data Explorers
CHSI offers students the opportunity to join the Health Data Explorers volunteers where they can gain experience in healthcare data analytics and contribute to the CHSI mission. To inquire about student activities and volunteer opportunities, please see applications on the student page.

CHSI Summer Interns
In the spring, CHSI recruits summer interns for targeted innovation work. Each year CHSI chooses specific projects for interns to advance quickly through concentrated effort. Interns may be assigned to work independently or part of teams. In addition to summer work, interns are expected to participate in Rural Health Innovation Weekend in the fall. The OSU Health Data Shootout
Data analytic competitors from OSU will arm themselves with their analytics arsenal to identify innovative, data-driven healthcare business and patient-care solutions from a data module provided by CHSI.


Predictive Medicine and Health Analytics Conference
This conference will focus on how predictive analytics improves patient care, reduces costs and brings greater efficiencies to the healthcare industry. Speakers from across the nation will provide real-world examples of the power of predictive analytics in the healthcare industry. This conference is designed to benefit health systems administrators including CEO’s, CFO’s, Vice Presidents, Health IT Project Leaders, Medical Directors, and administrators in charge of clinical quality outcome measures as well as healthcare financial analysts, payers, and insurance providers. Professionals will expand their knowledge of how predictive medicine and analytics can be used in their organizations. Student Club

Description

Health Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Club (HITEC)
HITEC is a student club at the Center for Health Sciences. This interdisciplinary club promotes a health innovation culture at CHS through HITEC programs, community presentations, innovation challenges, and academic/educational functions and forums.
